Facade This project is a site-specific installation presenting a house facade constructed entirely from window blinds, with doors, windows, walls (made of closed shades), railings, and plants. The work functions around two elements: the installation of an exterior facade in the gallery, which suggests the viewer simultaneously look out from inside the gallery and in from outside the facade; and the blinds themselves, which invite the viewer to open them and look inside, further playing with interior space within the gallery. Experiencing this work challenges received ideas of outside/inside, permeable/impermeable, and public/private spaces.
