Moving in/out A two-channel sound installation based on George Perek’s book Species of Spaces and Other Pieces, which focuses on the journey a person makes when moving in to or moving out from an apartment. By separating each sound sequence within the gallery, the viewer cognitively experiences the transition of the move by hearing audio descriptions of mundane actions that occur in the midst of moving in and out of various places. The installation creates a sense of the journey for visitors without providing any specific tangible form, highlighting the tedious work one does when leaving or getting into a place. Moreover, by playing and repeating the audio across the neutral space of the gallery, I aim to displace the audience and evoke a sense of mobility
